EMDR Intensives in Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek

If you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or exhausted by the impact of past experiences, an EMDR Intensive may offer a more focused path to healing.

Serving Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Danville & Lafayette Area

Traditional weekly therapy can be incredibly helpful, but sometimes healing requires dedicated time and space to work through experiences that continue to affect your daily life, relationships, confidence, and sense of self.

EMDR Intensives provide an opportunity to engage in deeper therapeutic work over an extended period of time, allowing you to make meaningful progress without waiting week after week between sessions.

Whether you're struggling with trauma, anxiety, relationship wounds, grief, medical experiences, or major life transitions, an EMDR Intensive can help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and emotional freedom.

What Is an EMDR Intensive?

An EMDR Intensive is an extended therapy session that combines the power of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) with dedicated time for deeper processing and healing.

Unlike traditional weekly therapy sessions, EMDR Intensives allow us to focus on specific concerns in a concentrated format, creating momentum and reducing the stop-and-start nature that can occur with weekly treatment.

EMDR Intensives are customized to your unique history, goals, and readiness for treatment.

Why Choose an EMDR Intensive?

Many people choose intensives because they:

  • Want to make progress more quickly

  • Have limited availability for ongoing weekly therapy

  • Feel stuck in traditional therapy

  • Are you preparing for a major life transition

  • Want focused support around a specific issue or memory

  • Prefer dedicated time to fully engage in the healing process

An intensive is not about rushing healing. Rather, it provides the space and continuity that can sometimes be difficult to achieve in traditional weekly sessions.

The Process

Step 1: EMDR Intensive Consultation

Before scheduling an intensive, we will meet for a 50–60 minute consultation to discuss your goals, history, and determine whether an intensive is the right fit.

During this consultation, we will:

  • Review your current concerns

  • Discuss previous therapy experiences

  • Assess readiness for EMDR

  • Identify treatment goals

  • Determine the most appropriate intensive format

Fee: $250

Step 2: Personalized Treatment Planning

Following the consultation, I will develop a customized treatment plan designed around your goals and specific areas of focus.

Step 3: Your EMDR Intensive

Together, we will engage in focused EMDR therapy, utilizing evidence-based approaches to help process and reduce the emotional impact of distressing experiences.

Step 4: Integration and Next Steps

Following the intensive, we will discuss recommendations, integration strategies, and any ongoing support that may be beneficial.
