Feeling Seen, Heard, and Understood
Therapy often begins at moments when you feel overwhelmed, unheard, or disconnected from yourself. I offer a calm, nonjudgmental environment where your experiences are honored, and your feelings are validated.
Together, we work to deepen your emotional clarity, build self-awareness, and foster a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
MEET JENNIFER VILLENA
An Integrative Approach to Women’s Therapy
I provide a trauma-informed, integrative approach to therapy designed to honor the unique complexity of women’s lives. My practice supports your emotional, physical, cultural, and spiritual well-being, guiding you to reconnect with yourself through increased self-awareness, open dialogue, and self-compassion.
Therapy is your space to slow down, be truly seen, and explore your experiences free from judgment. My aim is to help you strengthen the mind–body connection so you can navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and self-trust.
Holistic, Evidence-Based Care
My counseling approach combines a range of therapeutic modalities to meet you exactly where you are. Drawing from EMDR, mindfulness practices, and traditional talk therapy, I help women manage anxiety, heal from trauma, and move through life transitions with more ease.
This integrative method addresses not only your thoughts and emotions but also how your experiences are held in your body, impacting your identity, relationships, and sense of self-worth.
Identity-Aware and Culturally Responsive Therapy
As a woman of color, I bring an understanding of the cultural, generational, and social influences that shape mental health. I am committed to supporting those navigating challenges around identity, boundaries, people-pleasing, and self-expression.
My work respects the richness of each person’s lived experience and is dedicated to helping you cultivate a more authentic, empowered sense of self.
MEET JENNIFER VILLENA
(Pronounced "Vill- Yena")/she her
Born in Chicago to Filipino immigrant parents and now rooted in the Bay Area, I’ve always found myself navigating the spaces between cultures. My journey has been shaped by learning to set boundaries and let go of people-pleasing—work I do on myself and alongside my clients.
A large scar on my face has taught me about vulnerability, self-acceptance, and resilience. Through EMDR therapy, I help others approach their emotional scars not as flaws, but as meaningful parts of their story. My lived experience reminds me that healing is possible—and that our scars, both seen and unseen, can become sources of strength.
When I’m not working, I’m likely slow-cooking soups, hiking, watching horror movies, or spending quiet time with my husband, daughter, and our dog, RB.
