Private Pay Practice

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. This allows us to focus fully on your care—without the limitations or requirements often placed by insurance companies.

Many clients choose private pay for greater privacy, flexibility, and a more personalized therapeutic experience.

I work with women across Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Danville, Concord, and surrounding Contra Costa County communities.

A person is writing a checklist with a pen in a dotted notebook. The checklist items include 'Groceries,' 'Clean,' 'Email,' 'Dinner,' 'Recycle,' and 'Done.' The person is checking off the first item.

I do not accept insurance and operate as a private-pay practice.

However, if your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement.

While I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement depending on your plan.

To help you better understand your coverage, I offer access to a simple benefits checker through Mentaya.

Please use the Mentaya to check your insurance. This allows you to:

  • Estimate your out-of-network reimbursement

  • Understand your coverage before getting started

  • Make an informed decision about your investment in therapy

I do not submit claims or manage insurance on your behalf, but you are welcome to use this tool for added clarity.

Check Your Benefits

To make this process easier, I’ve partnered with Mentaya—a service that helps you check your benefits and submit claims on your behalf, so you don’t have to manage the paperwork or follow-ups.

  • Check your benefits in just a few minutes

  • Mentaya handles claim submissions and insurance communication

  • You may receive reimbursement directly from your insurance provider

Your Questions, Answered

  • Upon request, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company. A superbill is an itemized invoice healthcare providers offer to clients who pay out-of-pocket for seat you should know:

What is a Superbill? A document given to you by your therapist summarizing the services provided.

    • Used for insurance reimbursement if your therapist is out-of-network.

    Key Information Included:

    1. Provider Details: Name, credentials, license number, and NPI (National Provider Identifier).

    2. Client Details: Name, date of birth, and possibly an insurance ID.

    3. Service Information: Date of service, type of service (e.g., individual therapy), and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes.

    4. Diagnosis Code(s): Required by insurers to process claims.

    5. Payment Details: The amount paid and the provider's signature.

  • How to Use a Superbill:

    1. Please reach out to your insurance company to confirm out-of-network coverage for therapy.

    2. Submit the superbill along with any required claim forms to your insurance provider.

    3. Could you monitor the reimbursement process for updates or additional requests?
